NUP 312 CT
NUP 312: cylindrical roller bearing, brand CT. Bore diameter d 60 mm, outside diameter D 130 mm, width B 31 mm. Weight 2.2 kg.
Line contact between the roller and the raceway gives a high radial load capacity and resistance to shock loads. The rings are separable, which makes mounting and dismounting easier.
Floating bearing for gearbox, transmission and large electric motor shafts, roll necks, assemblies that need high radial stiffness. Designs N and NU let the shaft expand freely as it heats up, while NJ and NUP locate it in one or both directions.
Do not fit it instead of a tapered roller or angular contact bearing: designs N and NU carry no axial load at all. The shaft will shift along its axis, the roller ends will run against the ring ribs, causing heat and scoring. The reverse swap is wrong too: the bearing is not self-aligning, and misaligned supports move the roller contact to the edge of the raceway.
